Sierra Designs DriDown Stretch Hoody
Sierra Designs has a new hoody, and it is fabulous. Right off the bat, the refreshing zig zag pattern in the Stretch Hoody is beautiful and creates flattering lines. It flares out slightly at the bottom, but comes in just a little at the waist. There is no michelin look at all here, it’s a down jacket without that puffer business. With the great looks and fit alone, this jacket is a winner, but it has functional features that go way beyond fashion.
This is DriDown, meaning this is a technical down that can get wet and not turn into globby balls of feathery mess. This is a recent and wonderful technology and lets us enjoy the warmth of down without worrying about rain. It’s an 800 fill coat, so warm, and not bulky at all.
Stretch makes it even more functional and great for adventure that requires mobility. It’s great for hiking, camping and other outdoor activities.
The black hoody in particular is sleek and street worthy, pair it with some black boots and you are stylin for the city. I love this versatility, a coat that serves me well on the trails, then makes me look nice going out to dinner–travel clothing perfection.
My only caution would be to order up a size. I’m an 8/10, mostly 10/medium in coats and needed large. Find it HERE.
