Toad&Co Highcamp Sherpa Jacket
Toad&Co is one of my favorite brands because they use natural fibers, often organic, and their stuff is crazy comfortable and durable. Every season I eagerly await what’s coming out next. This fall, they created a beautiful sweater-blazer called the Toad&Co Highcamp Sherpa Jacket. This is a versatile travel piece that can take you from a business meeting, out to dinner, and to the trails.
I love the big pockets and the flattering lines. It’s tailored and well made. It looks dressy with plain black or charcoal pants, and equally great with jeans or a skirt. Just throwing this on with jeans instantly dresses you up. It’s heavy and warm enough to wear as a light jacket during fall, but light enough to wear on the plane or in the office. It’s one of those pieces that, when you put it on, you perk up. It’s just an elegant, great looking piece that still feels casual and cozy. And that’s what I love about Toad&Co.
What to wear under it? Definitely a Marely Going Sleeve Tee. I’ve had several of these over the years (they somehow keep making them better and better) and the longer you have it, and the more you wash it, the softer and more comfortable it gets. The fibers Toad&Co uses are similar to wool in that they don’t hold stink but do hold their shape, making them excellent for travel.
They come in different colors, some with stripes and patterns, so you can get some wonderful variety. You could also wear a collard shirt under the Highcamp Sherpa, or a cute graphic tee. These are some ultra useful, amazingly comfy tops that I consider a must for every wardrobe, especially for travelers and outdoorsy types. You can mix and match with so many fabulous options.
