BOGS Kristina Chelsea Boot
Need some waterproof boots that still look metropolitan and provide enough comfort that you can walk all day in them? Check out the BOGS Kristina Chelsea Boot. This boot has a waterproof full grain upper leather, with some stitching that makes this boot look so modern. Did you know the Chelsea Boot style was a big deal back in the 60’s as an icon of London’s mod fashion scene? But it was created in the 1800’s by Queen Victoria’s shoemaker, apparently she wore them all the time. It’s characterized by the elastic on the sides and ankle height. I just learned this today and thought it was interesting.
The BOGS version is comfortable and runs true to size. I’m a 9 normally, and the 9’s fit great. The arch support is sufficient. I also tried the Carly Low Boot and it’s super cute in person, but I found it to not have enough arch support for me.
I thought the Kristina Chelsea was much more comfortable, but if arch support isn’t an issue for you, take a look at the Carly Low Boot too. It has a dressier look that would work great for holiday parties and events, it’s a beautiful boot.
The Chelsea is lined with Max-Wick to wick moisture away from your feet, a slip resistant sole, and pull loops to help get them on and off with ease. These are a great choice for moderate winter boots (and would be perfect for fall and spring too) with a classic, put together look that works for casual and dressy attire.
