Privacy policy.

Effective September 23, 2026. This notice describes how Best Travel Gear handles information when you use besttravelgear.com. The operator is Best Travel Gear.

What we collect

We do not offer accounts, and we do not run a contact form that stores what you type. The packing desk at /pack.html and the journey picker keep choices in your browser. Those choices stay on your device and are not sent to us.

If you email hello@besttravelgear.com, we receive the address you write from, the message, and anything else you choose to include. We use that to reply and to correct our gear list.

This site does not load analytics scripts or advertising pixels. Our host, Cloudflare, may record ordinary request logs, such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested, in order to deliver and protect the site. We do not use those logs to build marketing profiles.

Cookies

We do not set first-party analytics or advertising cookies. Our host may set cookies that are strictly necessary to serve or secure the site. If you follow a link to Amazon, Amazon may set its own cookies to attribute a qualifying purchase. Amazon’s privacy notice describes what Amazon collects on its site.

Affiliate links and sharing

Some product links are Amazon Associates links. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Amazon does not give us your name, email address, payment card, or Amazon account credentials. We may see commission reports that do not identify you.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information with the company that hosts the site, and when the law requires it.

Your choices, including California

If you are a California resident, you may ask what personal information we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You may use an authorized agent. Because we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in the California Consumer Privacy Act, there is no sale or share to opt out of. We do not collect sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers, precise geolocation, or account logins. We will not discriminate against you for making a request.

Email hello@besttravelgear.com with your request. We may ask for enough detail to confirm it is yours. We will respond within the time the law requires.

Children

This site is written for adults choosing travel gear. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has emailed us personal information, write hello@besttravelgear.com and we will delete it.
